New Buildings for FGCU
The campus at Florida Gulf Coast University now includes two new buildings; Lutgert Hall, home of the Lutgert College of Business, and Herbert J. Sugden Hall, the Resort and Hospitality Management's academic building. Lutgert Hall stands four stories high and has 63,000 square feet of space - which should accommodate the annual projected growth of 4,000 students. An imposing structure, it will serve as the gateway to the University and will be the first building seen as you enter the campus. The new Sugden Hall is a 2 storey, 40,000 square feet structure which resembles a resort-style hotel and houses a state-of-the-art kitchen, ballrooms, a conference space, a food testing lab and a spa - all for the students to use as part of their curriculum.
