Located just north of Babcock Road on S. Tamiami Trail, the 9.2 acre site will convert to a self storage unit and shopping center within 18 months. The self-storage area will be 120,000 square feet and should be completed within 6 months; construction will then begin on the retail area of 30,000 square feet. There is also an out parcel suitable for a bank with a drive-through. The developer, Quattrone & Assoc expects to be completed just about the time the economy picks up again.
